Design Your Soap Box
Drop your logo on a real photo of our soap dispenser boxes, move it and size it, and send it. A designer sets it up to your bar size and sends a free proof.

Your logo sits on a real photo of our packaging. A designer redraws it to scale on your box and sends a free proof before anything is printed.
Tall boxes cut to your pump bottle
A pump bottle is a very different shape from a bar. It stands tall, it is narrow, and the pump head adds height you have to plan for. Our dispenser boxes are tuck end cartons made to those proportions, printed to your artwork and cut to the bottle you actually fill.
Most makers start from the default: white card, tuck end, about 70 x 50 x 190 mm inside. Treat that as a starting point. Your bottle may be slimmer, rounder or taller, and the box follows it.
Hand wash, body wash, shampoo and lotion all suit this format. If you sell bars, shampoo bars or bath bombs, the other boxes in the range will usually fit those better.
How is a dispenser box different from a bar box?
A bar box is short and wide, and the bar lies flat. A dispenser box stands upright, so the front panel becomes a tall, thin strip and the tuck flap sits on a narrow top. That changes how you lay out artwork and how well the flap holds shut.
If you also sell cold process loaves cut into bars, our soap bar boxes for flat bars cover that side of your shelf.
Who buys boxes for pump bottles?
Small brands launching a hand wash or body wash line use them most. Gift shops like a boxed bottle because it looks finished on a shelf. Hotels and B&Bs order them for guest rooms, where a boxed bottle sits beside the boxed guest bar.
Wedding and event makers sometimes box a single pump bottle as a thank-you gift. In every case the box does one job: it turns a plain bottle into something you can wrap, post or display.
How do you size a box for a pump bottle?
Measure the bottle filled and capped, because a full bottle bulges a little at the shoulder.
- Stand the bottle on the bench and measure from the base to the top of the pump head.
- Measure width and depth at the widest point, usually the shoulder or the label wrap.
- Add about 2 mm to each measurement, the allowance we use for bars, so the bottle slides in without scraping.
- Decide whether the pump stays on. If it travels unscrewed beside the bottle, tell us and we plan the height differently.
- Send the numbers by email or WhatsApp with a photo, and we confirm the size on your proof.
Round bottles need the box to match the widest curve, so give us the diameter rather than a guess.
Common pump box sizes
These are starting points, not a fixed menu. Every box is made to your measurements.
| Bottle style | Box inside (mm) | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Slim hand wash bottle | 60 x 45 x 170 | Tight fit, so check the shoulder width |
| Standard pump bottle, our default | 70 x 50 x 190 | Room for a wide label wrap |
| Tall lotion bottle | 75 x 55 x 210 | Taller front panel for a bigger logo |
| Round bottle with pump | 65 x 65 x 175 | Square footprint suits a round base |
| Refill pouch carton | 90 x 40 x 150 | Flat and wide, shorter than the bottle box |
Kraft or white card for pump bottles?
White card gives a clean base for bright colour, which is why it is the default for dispenser boxes. Green, black or a soft pastel wash all sit well on it, and fine detail stays crisp on a narrow panel.
Kraft suits a market stall feel. Add a white ink panel and the logo stays readable, though a deep green prints darker on kraft than it would on white. Our kraft soap boxes page shows how kraft takes print.
Printing for tall, narrow panels
Tall panels reward restraint. One strong mark reads better than five small ones.
- Keep the logo in the upper half, where it is seen above the pump on a shelf.
- Run ingredients and maker details on a side panel, not the front.
- Choose one or two ink colours for a sharp, simple look, or full colour for a photo-led design.
- Print inside the lid for a thank-you note or a refill tip.
- Ask for matt, soft-touch, foil or spot varnish on the quote if you want a finish.
Soap sold in the UK usually carries the product name, weight, ingredients and the maker's details, so leave space for them and check the current UK cosmetics rules.
Do refills need their own box?
Many makers sell a refill pouch or a second bottle beside the pump version. A matching box in the same artwork, with a different colour band, makes the pair easy to tell apart on a shelf.
If you want a card cradle to hold a bottle upright, or a small bar tucked beside it, soap boxes with card inserts are the next step. An insert also stops a lighter bottle rattling when the box is shaken.
Keeping liquid and card apart
Card does not like moisture. If a pump leaks or weeps a little soap, the box can mark. Wipe the bottle clean, let it dry fully, and lock the pump before boxing.
Fragrance oils can bleed into card too, so a bottle handled with oily fingers may leave a faint patch. A clear window patch keeps fingers off the bottle, but it is not a seal and it will not stop a leak.
Posting tall boxes without crushed corners
A tall, thin box has a weak spine if it is squeezed in a bag. Pack boxes upright in a shipping carton with the tuck flaps closed, and fill any gaps so nothing slides. Corners scuff first on tall cartons, so avoid loose stacking.
Our guide to packing soap for posting walks through the whole routine.
Ordering and proofing
Email your bottle measurements and artwork, or just a rough idea. Every order is quoted by email within one working day, and a free design proof comes before anything is printed.
Once you approve the proof, production takes 4 to 6 working days. Free tracked UK mainland delivery then arrives in 2 to 3 working days. Low minimums are quoted per job, so a small launch run is fine. Start with a request for a quote.

More answers in Help, or call +44 7578 382054 or message us on WhatsApp.
Can you make a box for my exact pump bottle?
Yes. Send the height, width and depth, plus a photo, and the box is cut to those figures with about 2 mm of room each way.
Should I measure with the pump on?
Measure to the top of the pump head if the bottle ships assembled. If the pump travels loose beside the bottle, tell us and we plan the box around that.
What box style do dispenser boxes use?
A tuck end box, made to stand upright. The flap closes at the top and the front panel runs the full height of the bottle.
Can I choose kraft instead of white card?
Yes. White card is the default, but kraft is available, with a white ink panel if you want the logo to stand out.
Will a leaking bottle spoil the box?
It can. Card marks when it gets wet, so wipe the bottle and lock the pump before boxing. Our notes on window patches and moisture explain more.
Can I add a window to a dispenser box?
You can, in any shape, using clear film. It lets shoppers see the bottle and keeps fingers off it, but it is not a seal.
Can one box hold a refill pouch?
Yes, tell us the pouch measurements and we size a separate carton for it, or an insert to sit beside a bottle.
Will the tuck flap stay shut with a pump bottle inside?
Yes, as long as the height allows for the pump head. We leave a little headroom above it so the flap closes flat instead of bowing, and the proof shows the final height before anything is printed.
Which finishes are available?
For a tall front panel you can pick from matt, gloss, soft-touch, foil, spot varnish or embossing. Tell us your choice and it goes onto your quote.
What size is your standard dispenser box?
The default is white card, tuck end, about 70 x 50 x 190 mm inside. It suits a standard hand wash bottle, and we resize it to your measurements if yours is slimmer or taller.
Do you take small orders?
Minimums are low and quoted per job, so a first run for a new hand wash line is fine.
What if the print is wrong or the boxes arrive damaged?
A wrong print or a dented tall carton reported within 10 days is reprinted or refunded. Photos of the box and the outer carton help us sort it quickly.
